It's a brand-new day and with the announcement of the imminent shutdown of SparkPeople, I've decided to start a new blog of my own.
OneKidsMom inspired me with her blog about honesty. In the past year, I've gained about 10 pounds. I'd like to attribute it to simply turning 51 and a changing metabolism, but I know it's more than that. A big part of it is not being responsible about my eating and exercise habits. I need to take charge of that again.
On the positive side, I am usually a happy person and I make time to enjoy my hobbies and spend time with my family. By focusing on my health, I'm hoping I can continue to enjoy all those things for a long time. I'd love to make it to 100 so I can see as much of the future as possible!

Ooh, this is going to be exciting, seeing all the different kinds of formats the blogs over here come in! Glad you decided to join in the blogging side of the journey. Having friends to share our focus with helps so much!
ReplyDeleteOneKidsMom inspires me too. I'm glad she is continuing to blog. I am Harrowjet on SP. I'm glad people are finding new ways to cope with the absence of Spark People.
ReplyDeleteAll right! Figured out how to change my display name to my Spark name, for blog and comments! And I followed your directions, Jeanne, on how to get a Reading List started. Things are looking up! (btw, the comment from Barb, above, was me before I changed the display name!)
ReplyDeleteAnd when I saved the new comment, it changed the name to "OneKidsMom"! Yeah, still learning!
ReplyDeleteI think there is a Subscription Links gadget that you can add to your blog to help people subscribe, but I'm thinking I may have read somewhere it is going away.
DeleteI just added it to mine to see what it's like. I'm not sure I'll keep it, but you can see how it looks.
DeleteHooray! Another blog to follow! Thank you. ALICIA363
ReplyDeleteSo happy you shared your new Blogspot! Yes. It often starts with an honest self reflection. And, you know your heart's desire and you will act upon it. Wishing you many happy decades to follow. ~ JEANKNEE
